Word of Encouragement

Trusting God doesn't make mountains smaller but it makes climbing easier.

Never ask God for a lighter load but ask Him for strength to bear.

Never lower your goals to the level of your abilities, instead raise your abilities to the level of your goals.

GIVE US A BOY, WE GIVE YOU A MAN

THANKS GIVING MASS AND PRAYER DAY!

TCBS family had a wonderful thanks giving and prayer day ceremony

The school Director took the congregation through the vision of establishing a prestigious school for the boy child after the nation neglected the boy child. All the attention was diverted to the girl- child by the society. This is well demonstrated by the existence of many organisations in support of the girl- child, a Women's hospital and University as well as a bank (KWFT) ; not forgetting the many public secondary schools for the girls only. If we shall not have people like Martin Mburu in the society, the boy- child will finally become a mere shell of a man figure. Let's realize the Director's dream and vision by taking good care of the boy- child and establishing learning institutions for the boy- child like The Corner Brook School, Juja.

It is a school with a homely feel. It has a dedicated and experienced team of teachers to make you excel in academics. It has well furnished dorms with cubicles, cold and hot showers and a gym. The diet is superb. If it was those early days when chapati was eaten on Christmas, then TCBS students would be proud to have three Christmas days every week when chapati is served with chicken. Each stream has a maximum of 25 students to facilitate individualised attention from the teachers.

The school has a team of dedicated non-teaching staff to cater for the good welfare of the students. They take care of the laundry, environment and food. The security team ensures that the school is well protected from negative external influence.

The school has a strong teaching staff that is dedicated to its work. With small classes, they are able to give individual attention to each of the students. This has helped the slow learners to be at the same level with the fast learners. Therefore at TCBS, all students are equal.

The school has very spacious dorms with modern facilities. The dorms have hot water, a house father, well fitted wash rooms and walls painted with various colours to give a warm feeling. The dorms are in form of cubicles that are not crowded as shown below.

The construction of the swimming pool which started in 2014 is now ready. The students will start enjoying the facility as from 9th January 2015.

The good thing with TCBS is that the classes have a maximum of 25 students for maximum attention. This enables teachers to have individual student attention, close monitoring and evaluation. The teachers are therefore able to keep track of students' performance and behaviour. This has promoted good academic performance and improved discipline.

The first thing when staff arrive is to hold a brief morning devotion which is attended by all the 34 members of staff to share the word of God and seek divine help from our creator who is our main pillar. This has brought a drastic positive change in students' discipline and team work for the good of the school.

In conclusion, Discipline and hard work remain our anticipation .
